Sterling Art Services

About

Our mission is to produce the highest quality product possible based on your project requirements; to educate and collaborate on issues related to art preservation and presentation; to promote community-minded ways of doing business; to further the profession of framing; and to acknowledge that our success lies in the relationships we build with people. Located at 42 Norfolk Street, in San Francisco’s SOMA neighborhood just a few blocks south of Civic Center, our clients include artists, collectors, dealers, curators, art consultants, other art-related professionals, as well as anyone with an artwork or artifact they would like to preserve and enjoy. Our years of experience enable us to suggest a wide range of alternatives, many of them handcrafted in house, as well as to think outside of the box when designing presentation solutions for challenging and non-traditional media. Through our involvement with a wider community of art-related professionals, we are able to connect our customers to ancillary services such as art handling, art conservation, mounting, mount-making, as well as acrylic and metal fabrication.

We strive to educate our customers about materials and methods, and take the time to design and craft the most elegant result we can within the parameters of any given project. The keys to Sterling’s success are our proprietary hand-finished frames constructed from North American hardwoods, many decades of combined industry experience represented amongst our staff, as well as a dedication to working ethically and collaboratively with our customers, vendors, and the various community organizations we support.
